9 Cutest, Wonderfully Whimsical Flower Girl Dresses Ever {Kirstie Kelly Design}

Flower Girl Dresses by Kirstie Kelly // Belathee Photography
These little cherubs dressed up layers of twirling tulle will melt your heart faster than you can walk down the aisle and say “I do”. By the time you reach the end of this cutie-patootie flower girl fest featuring the most darling gowns by none other than Kirstie Kelly, you’re going to have a massive smile of your face and probably wish that you could climb into your screen for a bit of care free frolicking too.  (We can thank Belathee Photography for capturing the spirit of these darling dears so perfectly.)
Kirstie Kelly, who has been designing flower girl dresses from more than a decade, remembers being a little girl and always wanting to twirl in her dresses. “All of the dresses have a sort of whimsical playfulness about them. With each collection I want the girls to feel as much like a princess in their dress as possible. After all, its not often they get to wear a flower girl dress!”

“Each Flower Girl Collection I Design Seems To Start With The Question: ‘Will The Dress Twirl?’ !” – Kirstie Kelly, Designer

Kirstie’s most recent collection has twelve dresses to choose from, ranging in price from about $200-$250, in a variety of colors and fabric styles. Plus, as part of Kirstie’s new program called “Borrow Me“, brides can borrow the flower girl dresses of their choice directly from the website to try in the comfort of their own home.  The selected gowns will be shipped directly to and from her home to try on for 48 hours for only $35. Pretty cool, right?

As some of you may already know, Style Unveiled is going through a major merge and redesign right now ... new site to launch this summer!!  While I have been busy busy with that project, this site hasn't been updated as frequently as I like :(  For those of you who have stuck by me during this transition, I truly appreciate it!  Once the new site (which is going to be AMAZING!!!!!) launches, you can expect the daily updates you have come to know and love about this wedding blog :)  I am SO excited!!!

This real wedding was supposed to be launched on the new site, but I just couldn't wait!!!  And you'll see why.  It's over the top beautiful and the details and portrait shots are so romantic!  It's everything I love about weddings all rolled up into one.

Meghan Christine Photography blew me away with the clicks from Amanda and Nico's Santa Barbara wedding ... srsly PINTEREST worthy over here ... so get that 'trigger finger' ready to rock!

My dress shopping experience was so drama free & so much fun. I had found a dress online by Kirstie Kelly that I absolutely fell in love with ... except I had my heart set on a strapless sweetheart top and the dress that was shown had straps and was a v-neck, with that being said my mom still convinced me to go down and just try it on. So we made our appointment and headed down to their showroom to try on dresses. What an amazing experience, working with the designer herself one on one and having the entire place to myself and my mom was so special and was the experience I wanted.  I tried on the dress I came down to try on and fell in love with it ... except for the top. So I continued to try on other dresses but just couldn't get over that dress. So I put it on again and the designer worked on the top while I was wearing it to turn it into a strapless sweetheart and it was just perfect, that was it for me, I didn't need to try on anymore ... it was my dream dress. Finding my dress at Kirstie Kelly was such a fun experience, they even made my bridesmaid dresses and my mother's dress, and my dress was perfectly altered to fit my body, it was truly a dream come true.

After many referrals from other past brides I finally made an appointment with Tricia Dahlgren, and I can say this ... best decision I made throughout the entire planning process. She took every single ounce of stress I had away & put me at complete ease. Her amazing her staff brought my vision to life, I was a very hands on bride, I loved planning and designing what my reception was going to look like & Tricia completely got it and I could not and would not change a single thing. On the day of my wedding having one of her assistants with my husband and one with me was such a relief, I knew my husband and his groomsmen were going to be at the church on time & everything was going to run smoothly. I can honestly say I did not lift a single finger on my wedding day & that is the way that it should be!!! My mom just got to enjoy being with me and celebrating rather then running around making sure everything was perfect for me. Tricia & her staff were irreplaceable on our wedding day!via StyleUnveiled.com / Santa Barbara Real Wedding / Meghan Christine Photographyvia StyleUnveiled.com / Santa Barbara Real Wedding / Meghan Christine Photography

My husband and I were inspired by the rat pack era for our wedding. Men in classic tuxedos & women in glamorous mermaid gowns, we wanted our wedding to feel classic, glamorous, & romantic.

Amanda: My best moment had to of been when my dad and I were waiting together behind the doors of the church & it was just the two of us waiting for everyone else to walk down and we were just talking about how happy he was and that he couldn't have chosen a better man for me to marry & then the doors open & all I could see was my husband standing there, it was like having tunnel vision, he was the only thing I could see and the smile on my face was so ridiculously big and I will never forget the look on his face when he saw me, it was truly everything i had ever hoped that moment would be.

Nico:  My favorite moment of our wedding day was when our wedding planner snuck us into the reception room before anyone got to see it & we got to take in all of the beauty, hard work, & planning that had been going on for the past 18 months and really appreciate where we were going to be celebrating our marriage with our friends & family.

We met our photographer through my cousin & we decided to use her for our engagement photos to see how we all meshed and if she really understood what we wanted out of our photos. I believe the saying "hit the nail on the head" would apply here. Meghan Christine Photography really understood how important photography was to us and also she really understood that we wanted more "editorial" style photos. We wanted them to look as though they were straight out of a magazine and she truly captured the love between the two of us. Our wedding photos are breathtaking & I cannot look at them enough. Choosing Meghan was a no brainer after our engagement photos & we are truly lucky to have been introduced to her & to have her photos from our wedding to cherish forever.

We chose the Santa Barbara Mission for our ceremony because the inside of the church truly made us feel like we were in a church in Italy. My husband is Italian & he loved how the interior made him feel that way. After meeting with the priests at the church & attending a mass there it solidified our decision in having our ceremony there.

We chose the Biltmore Four Seasons for our reception because of a few reasons. If you have been to this hotel you will truly understand what I mean when I say that being there is like being in a different world. The grounds there are unbelievably stunning, the views, the gardens, the interiors truly take your breath away. The staff there is truly 5 star service, from start to finish I could not have asked for anything beyond what I was given there. We got an insane surprise when we showed up for our wedding weekend and the staff had upgraded us to the Anacapa Suite, it was a gorgeous villa with a private entrance and completely secluded and just magical, we didn't want to leave! We were literally pinching ourselves the entire weekend at the hotel and asking "is this really our wedding?" ... the experience we had there has be unforgettable.

We decided to use Stella Bloom Designs out of Camarillo as our florist. I first met Amy at my cousin's wedding a year prior and absolutely loved her work, it was truly stunning. Working with Amy was an absolute joy, she made me feel so at ease about the whole process & was always to reassuring that everything was going to be absolutely gorgeous. I got married in January and a lot of flowers are not in season, however I really had my heart set on peonies & Amy was very honest with me that peonies were not a guarantee but that she would try her best to get me some for my centerpieces. On my wedding day I had the biggest surprise of a bouquet FILLED with peonies & garden roses, it honestly was such a shock to see and I was beyond ecstatic. My flowers were flawless & working with Amy was wonderful, I cannot say enough nice things about her & her staff.

Ohhhh the wedding cake. I was adamant on having a grand, big, unique wedding cake because it was a huge focal point during our cocktail hour. We ended up using love birds and bird cages throughout our cocktail decor and from that stemmed an idea for a birdcage cake. I did not think it was going to be possible, but once again the Four Season's pastry chef came through and delivered out gorgeous 4 tier gold & ivory bird cage cake. I was so beyond excited when I finally saw it, I was just in complete awe. The flavor we chose for our wedding cake was vanilla poundcake with fresh strawberry filling and vanilla buttercream. My husband is allergic to chocolate and peanuts so lucky for him vanilla pound cake is my absolute favorite. I am praying and hoping that our top tier still tastes as unbelievably good on our one year anniversary as our wedding cake did on that night!

Our biggest piece of advice to brides and grooms planning their wedding would be to hire a wedding coordinator! It will take all of your stress away for you both and your families. Also, invite who YOU want to invite, it's your wedding ... not your parents even if they are paying for it ... you guys as a couple should be surrounded by people that if they couldn't come to your wedding you would be bummed out ... don't spend your ENTIRE night talking and catching up with guests ... spend it with your husband, celebrating, dancing, kissing, and just enjoying this new chapter of life you are about to embark on.

Strawberry Farms Wedding: Christin and Brian

She walked into Strawberry Farms perfectly poised, floating much like a ballerina centerstage. Her hands carefully touched her wedding dress, her grandmother's tea ceremony dress, the crystals on lip of her shoes. If nothing else, Christin was ready. Ready to marry the man who unexpectedly became the center of her world.

Brian's friends casually joked with him, recalling days when Brian wondered if he'd ever find "The One". He focused on his career and love for basketball, but nothing quite filled the void in his heart until he crossed paths with his college friend, Christin.

She was beautiful, kind, and emanated joy...but she wasn't interested in a relationship. Nope, not at all. Undeterred, Brian offered to help refurbish a home she had just purchased. Over laying wood floors and installing light fixtures, Christin saw Brian as more than a friend. She saw him for who he was when he was around her. A couple years later, he proposed and they moved into that very house after celebrating a beautiful wedding at Strawberry Farms

Christin and Brian...I wish I could thank you in a million languages. Beyond appreciating your inordinate kindness and generosity, I'm so happy the world has a couple like you in it. You're amazing individuals, but together you light those around you and believe in their very best. It was honor being your wedding photographer. Much Love and Appreciation... j*

The wedding day started with a Kirstie Kelly wedding dress, blue Badgley Mischka shoes, and champagne...a perfect beginning, I might add...

Christin's mom and sister are some of the sweetest, salt of the earth people...just being around their love made me happy.

The ever dapper Brian waited for his future bride to join him for a First Look...

...but not before having a bridal portrait taken.

They opted to see each other before the ceremony to ensure they had plenty of time for wedding photos at Strawberry Farms...and they were elated to be in each other's arms.

Shortly after seeing each other, a gust of wind came along and snatched Christin's veil, lodging it on a barn hook. Their reactions are priceless, and I'm happy to say the veil remained unharmed during the removal process!

Christin donned a stunning dress for her tea ceremony that belonged to her grandmother...it was gorgeous and filled with a legacy of commitment and love.

Shortly after the tea ceremony, Christin changed into her wedding dress and prepared for her wedding ceremony...

Brian made the wedding arch and it was the perfect place to say I Do...

The First Kiss...and fist pumping.

After the ceremony, we strolled the Strawberry Farms property for more wedding photos...

The sun was like Baby Bear's porridge: juuuuuust right.

Many thanks to Elsa and Melissa of ME Weddings & Events for their tireless execution of the wedding day and reception details...they made everything lovely with help from Blomma Bloem Designs.

The First Dance...

Christin and Brian told me their reception was going to be a fun party, but they failed to mention it'd turn into a marathon of epic dancing...it was SO much fun!!

I'll end on this happy note because, really, this cowgirl sure loves her wannabe gangster/raver! ;)

I'd be remiss if I didn't thank the amazing team who made the wedding a complete success:
